Brushing Habits
Developing habits makes dental care easy
Try to get yourself in the habit of brushing your teeth for two minutes, twice a day, and flossing at least once a day.
Choose a toothbrush that is fairly soft and brush gently as to not damage enamel or gums.
Don't forget to brush your tongue! Bacteria can grow on your tongue just as easily as your teeth.
Bad Dental Hygiene

Bad breath. As a result of not brushing and flossing, various residue is left in the mouth. This residue, usually food, can cause a foul smell disrupting you and others around you.
Pain. If you go too long without proper dental care, cavities and diseases can form which can result in pain and/or sensitivity in the teeth.
A bad look. Without proper brushing and flossing, plaque and stains can build up on the teeth, causing discoloration.

Going in for regular appointments at the dentist is advised. These check-ups allow the professionals to help you maintain your dental health.
Listen to your dentist. Brushing at least twice a day and flossing once are staples of dental hygiene. Get into a routine and make them a habit.
